First Week at the MTC

My first day at the MTC was great and yes I fit right in and was right where I wanted to be. The first week many people were struggling but I felt fine, sorry but I didn't miss home, I didn't question of wanting to be here or go back. I am right where I want to be and am so happy serving the Lord.

My district is great and they are all going to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. So it will be sad when they all leave together and I am left alone. But I will probably get a new district.

My testimony has grown so much already, and I feel so blessed to be a servant of the Lord. I feel his love for me and the love he has for his children and it is infinite. I feel it thru me when I pray to Him. I feel exactly or at least a glimpse of what He feels for his children and it is miraculous and indescribable. It's incredible to see how quickly God answers your prayers when you are in his service.

I love praying for the Holy Ghost to teach through me and help me teach. I love the love that I feel for the people I teach! I know that what I am sharing is true! I love this gospel so much and I love the Lord! I wish I could share with you everything I've learned and everything that I know and feel.  It is so much and so great and wonderful! Please don't stop praying. only thru prayer can we create that precious relationship with our Father in Heaven. He will help us, all we need to do is ask. I know it and I believe it. I have felt it!

Time is quickly creeping up on me

So time is creeping up on me pretty quickly... I have 4 full days left before I leave! Oh my goodness. This is crazy, is this really happening? I may be nervous but I am also super excited! The Lord has blessed me with an amazing opportunity to serve and teach the people of New Zealand. How many people get to do that? No, I won't get to swim there or vacation there(yet), but I will get to do the most important work that can be done on earth. I will be helping bring Salvation to souls, to many of God's children whom he loves. That right now sounds like a better opportunity and experience than vacationing does... at least at this point in my life. :)
I am so excited to share the good news of the gospel with God's children! We can be cleansed from our sins because Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. Then once we are clean from our sins we will be worthy to live with our Heavenly Father again! Such wonderful news that is! :)

I know it. I live it. I love it. I am a Mormon!

Lately.... The Dream

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about my friend Karen and how amazing she is. She truly is one of my best friends and I wouldn't be this far without her. During the fall 2012 semester at BYU-I Karen and I thought about missions and then we helped each other get there. Honestly, with out Karen's example, determination and her constant encouragement, I don't think I would be going on my mission right now. I am so grateful to her and her love for me and most importantly her testimony and love for our Heavenly Father.
I had an interesting dream last night that I thought I should probably record since I remembered it and I never remember my dreams. Keep in mind that it IS a dream, so obviously some things are not gonna be reasonable or make a lot of sense.
The Dream: All I can really remember is that there was this boy and his family. I'm not sure if the rest of the family was boys or girls and how many there were but I know there was more, and they were a white family(I'm not sure why I remembered this but I thought I might as well write it down). I heard them talking about helping the boy buy a bike. They were all gonna put money into it to help him out but he would pay the greatest amount. It appeared that this family was in a tight spot financially, and the odd and unreasonable part is that they were going to pay $1400 for this bike. The next thing I remember is that I was bringing a bike over to this boys house. I put it in the yard and left, but I feel like I was there because I witnessed everything that went on in the house after that. The family found the bike and they were so astonished and grateful to have received this bike as a gift. They expressed great joy and gratitude. They then began gathering all of their children into the house to pray(at this point I was back in the picture and on their front door). Although they didn't know it was me they invited me in to join them for prayer to thank their Heavenly Father for blessing them with this bike. As we gathered around I woke up and didn't end up praying with them. As I laid in bed I felt great joy. I was so happy that I had done such a nice thing to make a family so happy, and it was neat to see them express their gratitude to the Lord for blessing them with the bike.
As i wrote this dream in my journal I got an impression of the joy I will feel with sharing the gospel with those in New Zealand. It's exciting to think that on the mission I can help impact and influence the lives of others with sharing the gospel with them. I know that it will make them happy, because if a bike can bring so great of happiness how much more happiness will the gospel bring them, for the gospel is far better than a bike. And that is because the gospel is Eternal Happiness and Salvation.
